Teacher Erick Altamirano » Mr. Altamirano

Mr. Altamirano

I am proud to serve John Adams Middle School in multiple capacities and to contribute to the cultural and artistic impact our school has made within the community. While I hold official titles for many of my responsibilities, my commitment extends beyond these roles. After 14 years as a visual arts teacher, I now oversee our school’s Cultural Arts Passport (CAP) program. As the CAP Champion, my goal is to ensure that 100% of our students have meaningful opportunities to experience professional arts and cultural programming within our community, broadening their perspectives and enriching their educational experience.

As the Title I Coordinator and TSP Adviser, I serve in a dual role at John Adams MS. As Title I Coordinator, and TSP Adviser I oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of Title I programs to ensure resources support student learning, with a focus on English Learners and underserved populations. I collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to monitor program effectiveness through the SPSA cycle. Together, these roles allow me to bridge academic support with student empowerment, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to succeed and lead.
